11.28.2021 – I/We Memorial – NEW FREEDOM OF RUSSIA

On Sunday, November 28 at 11:00 in Miami, New Freedom of Russia activists held a rally in support of the Memorial International Historical, Educational, Human Rights and Charitable Society.

The Memorial Society, like many other non-profit human rights organizations, was declared a “foreign agent.” A criminal case has been opened against the “Memorial” society and deliberate attempts are being made to liquidate it.

The entire Russian and international community is concerned about this situation and absolutely disagrees with the decision of the Russian authorities.

We are categorically against this act of state pressure on the most honest historical and human rights organization. This is nothing but an attack on the memory and history of an entire country. We demand an end to this shameful persecution.

New Freedom of Russia, together with activists, managed to send a donation of 30,000 rubles.

В воскресенье 28 ноября в 11:00 в Майами активисты New Freedom of Russia провели акцию поддержки Международного историко-просветительского, правозащитного и благотворительного общества «Мемориал».

Общество “Мемориал”, как и многие другие некоммерческие правозащитные организации, было объявлено ”иностранным агентом”. Против общества “Мемориал” было заведено уголовное дело и производятся намеренные попытки его ликвидации.

Все российское и международное сообщество обеспокоено данной ситуацией и абсолютно несогласно с решением российских властей.

Мы категорически против этого акта государственного давления на честнейшую историческую и правозащитную организацию. Это не что иное, как покушение на память и историю целой страны. Мы требуем прекращения этого позорного преследования.
